What are Go FAR Travel Adventures services?

We help plan and book a variety of travel experiences, including cruises, all-inclusive resorts, hotel stays, excursions, and more. Please note: we do not book standalone flights unless they are part of a complete vacation package.

Why book with Go FAR Travel Adventures when I can book my own trip?

One of the first thing I learned from other travel agents is about built in commission. I never knew TA commission is already built into the fee for so many vacation destinations. Cruise lines, Disney, hotels, all inclusives etc have about 10-20% of the fee, you are already paying, is set aside for travel agents. You get to decide if you would like me to receive that commission or if you are okay with a different travel agent will receive it. Even if you go to a destinations website and book your own trip, the commission still exists. Once I learned this, I booked a couple cruises with other travel agents until I became a TA myself.

I already booked my cruise, can that itinerary be switched to Go FAR Travel Adventures?

Possibly! If you booked your cruise recently and have not paid off the balance, we can discuss if it can be transferred.

What are your fees?

No fee will be charged for individual bookings with companies who provide commission. For example: cruises, all-inclusive resorts or Disney. (2025)

How do we book a trip?

Will we be able to get a discount if we book our adventure with you?

Not necessarily! Travel agents don’t automatically get a discount however, we are able to see what promotions are available at any time. By using a TA, you will get the best promotion and will be alerted when prices have dropped (for cruises).

Do all travel agents have access to the same promotions or can you get better discounts?

Yes, we all have access to the same booking portals.

Am I able to set up a payment plan?

Yes! You can make payments as long as it is not past the cruise line’s final payment deadline.

If I cancel my trip, can I get a refund?

This depends on the type of trip and how close you are to your trip date. Each trip will have a payment deadline. We strongly recommend purchasing trip protection/insurance. Let us know if you would like to purchase insurance.

How far in advance do we need to book our cruise?

Though there is not a deadline, most cruise ships fill up faster than one might think. Depending on the ship, you might be able to book the day before embarkation.

Do we need a passport?

A passport is required for all international travel. If cruising, a passport is not needed for the majority of cruises if the cruise leaves and returns to the same US port. Using a passport is simplifies the boarding process for cruise ships. If cruising to and from most US ports, you can board with a state picture ID and a US birth certificate.

Is a Real ID required?

No, a Real ID is not needed for domestic destinations. However, a Real ID is required for flights if you are not using a passport.

What if I’m traveling with a minor and I’m not their parent or legal guardian?

Each cruise line has their own policy, and yeah, form to get notarized. As an example, this is Royal Caribbean's form.
